Marvin Christmas Party 12/19/14

Uncle Kieth's family hosted the Marvin Christmas Party in Santaquin on 12/19/2014
Mandi brought her singing Santa to the delight of all.

Luke checked Santa out first thing.

If you pushed the button, Santa would sway and sing Christmas songs.
Uncle Kieth picked him up for cheap because he was the WalMart floor model.

Mandi was in charge of the craft: skiing snowmen!

Andrea was very pleased with hers.

As more arrived, they headed for the craft table. (Natalie and Bailey)

There were skiing snowmen everywhere!

Katie and Luke go to work.

Willie and Lacey were there.

It was fun to just sit and visit.

Alan came and brought his kids.

Dillon and Krystle were there with their little family.

Paige and her newest addition.

Leia and Aunt Andrea
Grandpa Dick and little Rocky.

They were watching Santa sway and sing.

The Mellors came!
Notice anything different about Sandy?

Uncle Mark even made it!  The attendance was the best ever.

Sometimes you have to get grumpy if someone is taking too many pictures.
This is Connie's youngest boy.

This is Craig's little boy.

Leia and Tyler

This is Willie's 2nd boy.

There was a short talent show following dinner.
(Shelly and Alan's little girls)
                                                                          SANTA CAME!
Santa walked through and greeted everyone personally.

Then he got to work giving out gifts. (Like the Santa sacks?)

 This one is for.......

Rockwell Brian Marvin.

Santa was surrounded by kids.

Finally it was Hayden's turn.

Kaleb was all smiles.
Haylie loved Santa.

The group from Santa's perspective.

Leia was not impressed!

Neither was Luke!

They did think their gifts were fun.

Luke even made it.

Grandpa Dick and little Theron.

Johnsons' temple wedding (11/22/2014 and Grandpa M's B-day 12/17/14

Our friends, Richard and Joyce Johnson
were endowed and sealed in the Manti Temple on November 22, 2014.
Dad and I were their escorts and hosted a dinner in their honor that evening.

All of my brothers and my sister met at
Sizzler's in Provo to celebrate Dad's 83rd birthday.

Florida Visit-Air Boat Ride

No visit to Florida seems complete without an air boat ride
with Dale.  Although we hadn't planned on one, Scott has
made arrangements for it.  It was another chilly day.

We got to the boat before Dale.  I got in position to drive and Dad started checking things out.

Dale arrived just in time to take over. :)

Ammon enjoyed the ride snuggled next to his mom.

Dale took us south rather than north on this trip.  It was a true ever glades experience.
We searched for gators in the Cyprus swamp, but found none.

We went down several narrow, byway channels, but found only birds.

We crept through water logged meadows and still no gators.
They were all in their dens or buried in the mud because of the chill in the air.
We saw lots of birds and had perhaps the most amazing boat
ride ever although we didn't see a single alligator.

On the way back to Janna's, I captured this typical Florida scene.

I was fascinated by the herd Brahma Bulls near the Smiths.  They were huge.
Janna had to send these pictures after we left because I never could
get a good picture due to schedule due to weather or the wandering herd.

Sea World-Dolpins

Here's the gang waiting for the dolphin show to begin.
Janna and Abby were on a bathroom break.
Grandpa,  Ammon, Andrew and Caden.

This visit featured a pre-show with some recently rescued dolphins.

Some were flat-nosed dolphins.

The pre-show was fun and pretty impressive. This little guy is "dancing."

Then the BIG show began. The bird lady this visit was different
from the one in January.  The costume was the same, but the
performance wasn't as fluid and beautiful.

A little out of focus, but I got six in the air!
