August
2019 at a Glance:
August
3-5:
We had Andrew here from Florida. We
enjoyed the Hale Theater production of “The Million Dollar Quartet” and a day
at Yuba with Andrew and Ashton Pettit.
We also visited with Uncle Kieth, Grandpa Marvin and the Mellors. He
entertained us with his “little black boy” accent all the way to the
airport. It was delightful to have him
here.
August
11:
We had a little birthday “T” party for Hans when he returned from his two week
stay in Murray. We celebrated the next
day with a Yuba morning especially for him.
August
13-20: Laura, Jessica, Anna and Ethan were here in Utah. The focus of their trip was to get the new
condo ready for tenants. It turned out
to be a marathon effort for a few days.
Everything was wiped down and painted.
The list of things Laura DID NOT replaced was much smaller than what she
replaced. We each found our niche,
pulled together and got it done. I think
we all needed a rest when they headed back to Seattle. Gratefully they got to
meet Hyrum at the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden on their way out of the state.
August
16:
Malea had a heart evaluation and ultra-sound.
All is well and working properly.
August
20:
Hyrum Chad Silotti was born early this morning. He weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz and was
19 ½ inches long. He missed being born
on Aunt Janna’s birthday by less than 4 hours.
It was a long night for Andrea and Jordan. I admit that I didn’t sleep deeply until I
knew he had arrived. I took Kim Allred
to the Gentri Concert at BYU that evening just for fun.
August
21: School began today for Juab School District. Darrel and I took dinner to Ogden and met
little Hyrum for the first time. He is a
lucky boy to be born into a family with so much love!
August
22:
Tyler and Katie had their first family counseling session with her in-laws today. She felt it went well. We’re hoping for a very positive
outcome. It will be a great blessing to
them all.
August
26: Darrel had his first appointment to help him
understand and manage his apparent diabetes.
His condition was exposed during the Health Fair in April. He has been taking a small dose of medication
for 3 months now. We’re hoping to keep
it well under control.
August
28: I spent the day in Ogden
with Andrea and Hyrum. Jordan is back to
work and back in school. Real life has
returned!
August
31:
Randel and Bethany had engagement pictures taken today. Sarah Hunt helped us
out with that.
