The Ash Grove Picnic was on June 21 this year at Young Living Farms.
It turned out to be a lovely thing to do on the first day of summer.
It was the first year the picnic was held in Mona.
Since Katie, Luke and Leia are living with us right now, we took them along.
Goodwood Barbeque Company provided the meal.
Eating was the first order of business.
Katie is contemplating on which food item was the most
tasty. Her plate reveals it was a tough choice.
Luke loved being able to pick his own bag of chips!
This could be a rock star Fritos poster.
We went exploring and found a cool rock wall with gun port holes. Luke and Grandpa!
Leia and Mom!
Leia and Mom say peek-a-boo!
They had a new activity brought in. The kids were zipped inside
the huge bubble and turned loose in the pool like gerbal in an
exercise ball. Staying upright appeared to be quite difficult.

The kids had to run like the wind to stay upright. :)
Then we went exploring. We found the paddle boat dock.
There were six paddle boats available.
Dad would have been more interested if the boats had had fishing equipment. :)
The blow up slide had a new twist this year. The kids had to make
their way through a blow up maze to get to the slide.
Luke's excitement was short lived once he was in the maze all alone.
As soon as Luke emerged from the maze, these big
horses were waiting to give him a wagon ride.

Grandpa, Leia, Luke and Katie are on their way. Kiley
Shepherd's oldest boy, Bodie, was the team driver.
What is Luke pointing at you may ask?
Work man were bringing ponies for the pony cart rides.
There is an old time village built there.
Dad had a good chat with the old cowboy.
Katie had a Grandma Marvin moment when
she stood near the old Indian Chief!

Grandpa and Luke checked out the Ole Saloon.
Then Katie and company had to head north to David
Spencer's wedding ceremony. P.S. David was baptized last August
and was made and Elder this weekend.

After the Wilkins left, Dad and I just checked out the lay of the land on own.
This is a BIG beer barrel swing.
This is a big box merry-go-round. It really worked!!
There was a whole line-up of old farm implements.
Hope they have the annual picnic at Young Living Farms next week. :)
