A Day with Mellors

Oct. 17, 2014 was my Fall Break. Luckily, it was the Mellor's 

Fall Break, too and Andrea's day off.  We decided to spend

 the day together, while Tyler was having his knee scoped.

After tidying up a bit at home, Hayden, Dallin, Kaleb, Haylie and I
picked up Aunt Andrea and went for a River Walk along Provo River.

There were several monkeys and they all had names: DALLIN

KALEB!

We found a cute little gazebo.

We discovered first hand that people really do live under over passes.  Yikes!

Then we got pizza and went to a park.

The trees here have BIG Kahuna acorns.  Dallin liked them. 

After lunch we headed to the newly remodeled Bean Museum.

These carvings are in the special room dedicated to President 

Packer's work and life.  He carved these and many others.

There could be foul play in the room of the fowls.

I was at the museum when they started to put this guy 

together before it closed.  It was a BIG project!

The ants in this maze can be moved with magnets.  These kids 

are racing to see who can get their ant to the top first.

The colors in this display are REAL butterflies collected from around the globe.

This is the Savannah Room.

The Second floor of the museum is now devoted to 

predators and prey.  It might be at least a PG experience.

A day like today can wear a kid out!  (You should have seen Grandma!) 

After the museum, we each bought our favorite treat and 

went to the Dollar Theater to see: "How to Train Your Dragon II."

The deed is nearly done. 

Today my picture window made me sad.

This is the sole survivor of the project.

 

Removal project is complete!

This is our HUGE lilac cemetery. 

 On Oct. 14, 2014, the road construction crew arrived.

Juab County did the work.  Andrew was our engineer.

The grader is taking the level of the road in the dip down about 20 inches.

More guys just kept showing up.

A meeting of minds to determine if the dip is deep enough. 

 The road is ready for blacktop.

This is the new and improved flood waters path through the yard. 

 All this dirt and silt was removed from the bottom of our wash.
