We ran into Nancy and Aunt Beth in Salem.

May 2019 at a glance:
May 5 : Today was Cinco De Mayo! It was also Tory and Heidi-Marie’s 2nd anniversary and Valancy’s first day to attend church.  A big family celebration was hosted in honor of that in Murray. It was interesting that during their big celebration, Bethany was experiencing some of her first hours with and early impressions of Randel Nolan Paulsen.

May 14: Tyler Mellor received his mission call to Guatemala.  He leaves on September 11, 2019.

May 18: Jordan Mary Marvin Chilcote died today. She committed suicide following the difficult birth and complications that followed. It was a true tragedy! We attended her funeral on May 23rd.  There is no doubt Jordan was a special, talented, good person.

May 18: Steve and Paula Bateman were in an accident on Spring Lake Road on their way home from the temple involving a horse.  Paula was killed.  We attended Paula’s funeral in South Jordan on May 28th.  There are few more valiant and wonderful than Paula.  The Spirit of her funeral was uncommonly sweet and abundant.

May 20: Today was our 43rd anniversary.  We feel we already celebrated it during our recent trip to Hawaii.

May 21: Taylor Scott Smith received his mission call to Sacramento, California, Spanish speaking.  He leaves July 2, 2019.

May 30:  Brenda had surgery on her first hand to repair the scar tissue from her carpel tunnel condition.
