Mini-reunion in Mississippi (Before we arrived)

Jake and the Potters drove to Mississippi a few days before we arrived.  The party started before we arrived.  The following are pictures of things we missed but quickly caught up on when we arrived.
Cousins meet for the first time: Hanna and Gil!

The BIG people went out to dinner at a Greek Restaurant.
Andy brings out the best in Karrie! :)

Their fishing trip in Andy's boat was very successful.

Colton's fish was bigger than Gil.

Uncle Jake is like a kid magnet.  There is always an element of possible danger around him.

May Days 2018

The following are just random shots of life in May.

These are the first tulips grown in our yard!

This rock chip on the district car left shards of glass on the dash!
The selfie was sent to Andrea to say thanks for a great hair cut!

5/24/2018:  All but two bus drivers got together for a retirement party for Paul at his favorite Mexican Restaurant. I was asked to design and piece a quilt and two pillows featuring his experiences in Juab County through the years.  It turned out to be a fun, heart-warming event.

Juab High School earned a superior from every judge.  We had a siren escort when we reached town.

5/25/2018: The last day of school, I took the Cheer Leaders to Cedar City.  I did an initiatory session at the new Cedar City Temple while they had a work shop in the morning.  That makes the  number of temples I have been to in my bus...... 12! (Logan, Ogden, Brigham City, Salt Lake, Draper, Jordan River, Oquirrh Mountain, Provo, Provo City Center, Manti, Cedar City, and St. George.)  After lunch I hiked to Kanarraville Falls with the team.  It is like a mini Zion's narrows. Beautiful!

Sarah-Jane's kindergarten graduation

5/21/2018: Sarah-Jane's graduation ceremony was on May 21st.  She was so sick that day that she wasn't able to attend, but her mom took her in the following day for pictures in her cap and gown.

Missionary Moments in May

In May, we saw "the work" move forward among the living and the dead.

5/12/2018 Jordan and Andrea came down to visit over Mother's Day weekend. We went to
MantiTemple and did some sealings together.  Many of the names were from family file cards provided  provided by the Mitchell family.

5/19/2018  We've visited the Bott/Mitchell family for years with little break through as far as gospel commitment.  Recently both Jason and Jenny lost their fathers and the change in them as been real.  Gareld, who is 14, had not be baptized.  We got to participate as the missionaries taught him and
were honored to give prayers at his baptism.
Gareld is  holding an i-pad that allowed the first set
of missionaries who taught him to join us.

Two trips to the zoo

I got to drive Sarah-Jane's field trip to the Hogle zoo.  Beth, Hans and
Grandpa met us there.  I took the Nebo View students about a week
later.  The animals were more active that day, so most of
the close up animal shots were from that day.

Lunch at the zoo.

When I was at the zoo alone I decided to see how many
animals I could photograph up close and personal.
