Dad and I made a trip to Flowell, Utah to visit the 300 acre ranch he
ran for a year shortly after he and Mom were married.
This is the church in Flowell.
Dad says it hasn't changed much.
This is the little house Dad, Mom and Dick lived in.
This is where Hap, the owner lived.
Can you see the little house behind it?
The ridge in the center is the one dad rode
over again and again while breaking horses.
We finally got Dad a new chair and he likes it!
We went for a drive and Dad showed me a few
of the houses in Payson that he once lived in.
Dad was born in this house. His grandmother, Almira Ann,
had it built and they were staying with her for a short time.
(308 West Utah Avenue, Payson, Utah)
This is the 3rd house dad lived in as a child.
( 245 South 300 West)
This is the house Dad and Mom lived in just before going to Flowell.
Dick was born while they lived in this house.
( Hwy 91 Just west of the present day Catholic Church)
This is the house Orrin Delbert and his boys built for Grandma Marvin.
They lived in a big military tent while they were building it.
(565 East 500 South, Payson, Utah)
This is how the house looks today. (2020)
Dad and I drove up Payson Canyon. The destruction left behind
from the fire is so evident and leaves me with a deep sense of loss.
