July Odds and Ends

This is evidence of the well disaster on July 3rd.  I learned first hand how much water can come through a 3/4 inch pipe in a very short time under 60 pounds pressure!

It was the summer of the hawks.  Many nights we sat out on the porch at sunset to watch the hawks return to roost in Marv's big trees.  One night we counted 26!  The white road indicated their presence.

I spend 24 fun-filled hours at the cabin with Sarah, Wendy and Maddy.

Darrel and I made a trip to Nephi just to see the flag come into the arena for the Ute Stampede. The Smiths were here to actually attend the rodeo with us on a previous night.

Summer sunsets are one of the blessings of living in Levan.

Darrel and Joe Cummings at the Ute Stampede Car Show.

Darrel and I went on a long, hot 4 wheeler ride up to Cedar Spots and up Chicken Creek.

Dad and I rode up the canyon and visited with Mary's family who were camping.  Kent and Kieth's families were camping in a nearby place, so we visited them as well.  Mary completed a 5 peak challenge this summer.  This is her on the Mt. Loafer Peak!

It seems that no matter where he is, Uncle Kieth is a favorite.

Scott and Janna come to Utah!

The highlight of the trip was likely the backyard country dance.  Caden politely asked if we could host one.  He said he had everything under control.  I needed to add was the girls!

We were able to go swimming in Sarah Shuler's pool.

Spending time with Uncle Kieth is always a high priority.

They were here to celebrate July 24th.

Aunt Andrea's red wig provided some fun and great pictures.

Darrel in Florida

Darrel went to Florida for a visit July 2- July8th.  I had a well house disaster while he was gone, and the solar panels went out, but I survived and he had a great time.

Ammon is the one who planted the idea that Grandpa should come fishing.  It was great that they both caught a fish.  Andrew got in on the fun, too.  Grandpa did some hog hunting as well, but it was not as successful.  Scott has become famous for his Cajun Boil dinners.  Darrel was glad to be there for one of those.  He and Janna took Doris out to lunch one day and best of all, they drove to Jake and Meghan's to visit the kids and see their new home.
