Fun with the Mellor kids

Brenda ended up going to girls' camp in Heber last minute, so I picked up her

three youngest in the morning of June 10th. They came to Levan for a sleep over.

Of course the first thing we had to do was see Chica.

Chica and Dallin.

Notice the Chica is nibbling hay leaves off the ground.

Back inside---the dinosaurs had appeared. 

Dallin suggested that they round them up and bake them. 

That's how you make dinosaur steaks! 

Then we had a water fight.

Haylie and Kaleb are loading up.

Dallin is in hot pursuit and loving it!

Haylie and Abby got to be good friends on this trip.

Haylie loves to swing and the look on her face was worth every minute of pushing her.

In the evening we rode horses on the front lawn.

Dallin is headed down to gallop over the bridge.

 

We discovered that Andrea's pony isn't as well broken as the old red one.

The next morning we went to Levan Park. Kaleb is strong and agile.

Haylie wanted to try it, but she was too small.

Dallin could be a secret agent of some sort.

The odds usually fell in Dallin's favor until...

Kaleb challenged Dallin to hang upside down on the tricky bars.

While Dallin was hanging around, Kaleb stole his gun!

Clever move!  You already know how Dallin responded. ;)

This is a "spider" man shot after Dallin's drama ended and Kaleb gave his gun back.

This was the jail for the robbers.  You can see that this robber is armed and dangerous.

How pink a foundation

It has been years since I painted the foundation of the house.  It was beginning to

look a little bit"ghetto", so I picked out a beautiful milk chocolate brown to repaint it. 

Once on the house...IT LOOKED PINK!  I didn't like it. ):

Reminiscent of  "the good, the bad and the ugly,

Here you see: "The new, the pink and the old."

In order to tone down the pink, I purchased a walnut stain and stained it.
It was more work and more expense, but I can tolerate it now.

Can you tell where I hadn't stained the paint yet? (hint: It's pink!)

I planted over $100 worth of flowers.  Here's a couple of samples.

Cherokee and Cherokee's Shadow!

Here are a couple of "before" shots of Cherokee.

This was taken less than a week before her "shadow" appeared. 

We got home from our trip to see the Hale Theater production of 

Peter Pan with Tyler and Andrea on the evening of May 31, 2014.  

When Dad went out to do chores.  This is what he found!

ONE DAY OLD

 The first visitors!

Part of the Andersons came down on Sunday 6/2/2014 to visit. 

Aunt Glory and Chica. 

Uncle Story with Baby Chica and Cherokee. 

Dad decided to brush the winter hair off from Cherokee. 
She enjoyed that!

This is Cherokee scratching Chica's back with her teeth.  

We've seen her do this more than once. It is so cute! 

Snacking is Chica's favorite pass time. 

Andersons stayed and visited with us for a while. 

That is a fringe benefit of the new arrival.

DAY TWO: More visitors! 

This is Sadie.  Her mom is Kate Gwilliams.

 Lionel and Linda came down on their 43rd Wedding Anniversary to see Chica.

 Sadie is just a little bit younger than Haylie.  She was fascinated by Chica.
