Sleeping Beauty Jr at the Hale Theater 5/18/16

This version of Sleeping Beauty had minions who were
the evil fairy's helpers.  They nearly stole the show!
SJ with two of the minions.

There were lots of fairies in this production.
Luke, Katie and Leia with the fairies.

Leia, Katie and SJ with Maleficent and a couple of minions.
(Luke did not want to be in a picture with the mean guys.)

Abby's visit from FL. May 13-14

Scott and Abby flew to Utah for Jeff Walker's funeral. Scott went to help
the family with some financial concerns and we had Abby that whole day.
I had a bus run to the U of U, but offered quickly to bring the early bus back
so I could see Abby.  I got home in time to go boating.
We went to Painted Rocks!  This is why it got that name.

Sarah and Abby were the first to try out my new tubing boat.

We got up pretty close and personal to the pelicans.

Abby and Sarah-Jane save back in the boat.

Abby takes the opportunity to check out Grandpa's new boat.

Then Grandpa opened up the boat and took us back to the dock.

The girls threw rocks while Grandpa and I got the boat on the trailer.

When Ammon saw this picture, he was very worried that Abby
was too close to the water----all alone.  That's when you know
he's lived in FL too long.  No free range gators in Utah!

My Bus Run to the Zoo Ever!

I had a bus run to the Hogle Zoo with the 2nd
grade from Red Cliffs Elementary on May 10th.
Guess who I found at the zoo?

 His royal highness....Gabe!

Leia and Luke on the lions.

 Time for a train ride.

How many lion cubs did we see?

We saw a baby giraffe, too.

We ran into Angee and Taylor.

The Carousel was the last stop before I had to head back to the bus.

The Wilkins stayed for the bird show, but I had to go!

Spring Time Splendor

Bethany had one of the sisters she visiting teaches come for a play day.

Does life get better than this?

Baby Wil

SJ and Wil got a bunny for Easter. Her name is Dots.  She has a
harness so they can talk or for a walk or stake her out.

SJ and Dots

We've had lots of rain this Spring. One week we thought we lived in Seattle.

But...we have had the most beautiful blossoms we have ever had!
(flowering almond bush transplanted from around the fire pit)

Ground cover brought from Bethany's trailer when she lived in Payson.

Our lilacs  have NEVER bloomed like this.

The only lilac to survive the flood.  Both Sheena and Abby are buried under this bush.

MOTHER'S DAY SURPRISES
Jake and Meghan sent me this beautiful bouquet.
Jake called on Mother's Day from his ship!

Katie came down for dinner and painted my nails.

Thanks to all who went in on our trip to the Tuacahn in June!
We CAN'T wait!
A poem by Anna Mitchell :
"Our country fought for liberty. We battled with hope
for peace. Twas courage that brought us victory, so freedom would never
cease.  It's the land of my birth, a place I'm proud to cal home.  The greatest
nation on earth with beauty wherever I roam.  Upon a pole so great and tall, a
flag will blow for all to see-a symbol of freedom to us all.  It's so special to me.
America is strong and resolute, always protecting me from countries that will
dispute my right to be free. Over mountains full of majesty I see my
country stand--a land of opportunity, I love  my home so grand."
