August odds and ends!

 Jessika was married August 4, 2018 in the Manti Temple.

 My two favorite wood projects from the county fair.

 Dad and I drove to Heber for a visit with Uncle Dean.

 A guy attempted to fly a plane into his own home near

Uncle Kent's at the mouth of Payson Canyon. 

 Bethany and I had "fight back" training involving an active shooter.

Darrel and Lee took a fishing trip and enjoyed the day.

 A fascinating chart from Education Week.

 Darrel and I attended a class about Adam-ondi-Ahman 

during our day of Education Week. This shows who 

would have been at the first gathering at this sacred place 

before Adam died.  It was Darrel's first year!

NOTE: Mary and I went out to lunch together 

this month in honor of our birthdays. 

A Day with Amy

We got a little time with Amy after the family left.

We stopped to visit Aunt Sheree who was recovering from surgery.

We hiked to the Grotto in Payson Canyon.

I include the above photos because Payson Canyon was burned 

shortly after our visit and these photos cannot be duplicated now.

Only a trickle came over the falls.  

It's been a dangerously dry year.

We had lunch at the India Palace.

We also did baptisms for the dead 

in the Provo City Center Temple.

We also enjoyed having Amy for the Marvin 

Labor Day barbecue in Mary's backyard.

Mitchells come to Utah

The Mitchells drove down to bring Amy to BYU.  

We got to spend a little time with them.

Back to School

Most of us headed back to school in August.
