Autumn Adventures of Splendor in 2020

Darrel and I took several evening 4 wheeler rides into our nearby canyons. 2020 was blessed with a glorious autumn season that was extended because of mild, unseasonable warm weather.

One day we drove up Spanish Fork Canyon into Fairview. We then went up their canyon and along the skyline drive before coming down Mount Pleasant Canyon. Several ATV's were surprised to see us there in our nice 2016 Camry. Once we were committed we finished the journey!

We came across a gem and fossil saw in the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon.

Spring City, Utah

Manti Temple: Not much was going on there because of the Covid 19 restrictions.

We rode up to the towers one evening on 4-wheelers.

It was a beautiful sunset and an amazing view of the valley from up there.

We also rode up Chicken Creek one evening and Deep Canyon another.

The gypsum pile at the mouth of Chicken Creek was the largest I have ever seen.

This ride was good for my spirit, but not my hair! With multiple fires in Utah, the sunsets were breath-taking.

September 2020 odds and ends

Dad and I found this critter on a drive to Elberta one day.

Dillion's daughter shot this elk! Her brother had the shot, but deferred to let her have the first chance.

Darrel and I loaded this jag of wood together. We got them out of the Satter-white log junk pile. One of their drivers brought us some new options and dropped them at our feet, making our job easier.

Politically it was a tough year!

When Janna came to see her new house she saw Kieth's 13 puppies and Grandpa Marvin.

One afternoon, John Kenison stopped by with his children to see Bethany's animals. Sadly, Beth's animals have been in Idaho since June. We did the best we could with what we still have. A pony cart ride seemed to make the girls smile.

I did a photo project for Dad, knowing he would not be allowed visitors following his surgery. These are some pictures from Blake's family. They are from Joe's wedding from a year ago.
