A visit from our California Girls

Our California girls arrived at 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 17, 2013.  That was very early
on Grandpa Marvin's 82nd birthday and Neldon's first day working
on the Payson Temple.  Brenda brought her three youngest children, Andrea
and Grandma Anna down to visit.  After lunch the kids all bundled
up for a sleigh ride behind the truck with Grandpa and Aunt Andrea. 

Meghan had to buy coats, boots, hats and gloves for the trip. Rorie  was very

 excited to try them all out.  She also made a quick friendship with the 

little Triceratops and thought she would like  the snow.  Before long, Rorie

 brought her back  inside reporting that it was too cold for dinosaurs. :)  

Makes sense since triceratops were plant eaters!

Milo rallied in hopes of some TLC from our company.

 The kids played on the trampoline while Grandpa got everything ready.

Noa decided to take a nap rather than sleigh ride. 

Rorie made quick claim on the red sleigh as the kids made their choices.

Rorie's new gloves are fully broken in. 

Haylie and Kaleb are ready to get on the road.

Dallin picked out his own gloves out of the drawer.   Can you tell?

On the mark! Take up the slack! Lines taut!

Sometimes ruts can........

....cause roll overs and broken lead lines. Grandpa has it under control!

Ready, Set---- GO AGAIN!

Time to turn around........and head home!

Rorie and Kaleb decided to go one more round after this one. 

The other two were cold enough!

After the "Utah" company left and quiet time was over, Rorie made her 

way back  outside.  It was only 12 degrees when Meghan insisted 

she come in.  She might have some country blood flowing in her veins. :)

Just before the missionaries came to dinner, the girls helped grandpa do chores.

Noa has cute new cold weather clothes, too, but she wasn't sure about the ponies.  She 

wanted to wear her new boots with her pajamas, but I don't think she slept in them.
