Mostly for the bird watchers.

Of course Grandpa tuned up the 4-wheelers as best he could while there.

 Abby was his best assistant.

Now for the bird watchers!
The birds were enjoying the high surf, too.

The long beak was deep in the sand searching for something.

We got to meet and feed the missionaries for FHE.
One of the Elders is from Manti. Janna said he is the best
missionary they have had in their area for some time.  They gave a great FHE
message before leaving. They showed a video clip illustrating Elder Bednar’s
talk about how the Spirit influences out lives.  The one that was most meaningful
to me was his reference to walking on a foggy day.  You can tell it isn’t night time
and can see enough to take a few steps.  As you move forward, you find there
is sufficient light to keep going.  Although it is not like turning on a light switch,
or even realizing that dawn has come, there is still light that is perceivable. :)

We flew home early and got home in time to do my pm bus run.
 The clouds were amazing.

This was our "welcome home" storm.
These photos were taken from the bus waiting for the kids to come out.

 Sister and Brother Hurst

Janna and Ammon made the trek up first.
Ammom made it up all 208 steps.

 Looking up!

 Looking down.

Grandpa and I and Brother and Sister Hurst went up next.

Brother and Sister Hurst.  It was no small feat for Sister Hurst to make
the climb because of her great fear of heights, but she made it!

It was a gorgeous day and we could see for miles.

The two craft to the left were vessels used by
Cubans trying to find freedom in the U.S.

What every mermaid needs to know.   Does this fireplace  make me look skinny?

Our visit to see the manatee.

There were at least 50 plus manatee that day.

Brother Hurst and Grandpa reminiscing old times.
They were friends and grew up together on West Mountain.

The area where the 101,000,000 gallons of 70 degree
water bubbles up from deep in the earth daily.

Osceola County Fair

Osceola Count Fair  2016
We went on their "carload" night.

I couldn't help but notice the flying school bus ride.

 Janna, Baby Sam, and Caden

There were lots of fun rides for little kids.  Abby was kind enough to go with Ammon.

 The sunset that evening.
 This was a double-decker merry-go-round.

There was a big bale of hay decorating contest throughout the fair.

The Paul Bunyan contest featured a chain saw and double saw team.

This is the pot-bellied pig racers.

The highlight was the pig races.  I am not sure what Dad was thinking,
but he made a bet on each round for a dollar, and  picked the winner
of the first round…Mr. Harry Ham Bone!   This is the prize he won.
Ammon loved it so much that we had to leave it in Florida.
There were six pigs in each round and they had entertaining names
such as: Beyonce Baconator, Lady Hog-ga, and Britney Spear-ribs.
Another heat featured: Barach-of-ribs Obama, Hoggary Clinton
and Donald Rump Roast.  All in all, it was a fun event!

Like all county fairs, there were amazing exhibits.

There was an exotic petting zoo area.
This guy gave new meaning to BIG HORNED cattle.

Notice that this little Bongo is licking Dad's nose.

 Andrew, Caden, and Abby

We ran into a living dinosaur on our way to the car.

Paradise Beach 2/16/2016

Our time at the beach was great.  The tide was high and the surf was up
because of the storm that blew through during the night.  There had been
tornado warnings issued for our area.  The rain was torrential and the
lightning and thunder was magnificent. 2/16/2016

Caden took the day of from school and came along.
Check out the surfer in the back ground.
