The Provo City Center Temple with Janna ( 4-5-2016)

Janna, Ammon and Baby Sam had a flight out of SL Airport the afternoon of
April 5.  We decided to do a session at the Provo City Center Temple that
morning.  The temple has only been open for a couple of weeks and it was packed!

We paused for one quick picture on our way in.

Note: We were later getting there than we wanted to.  It was a photo finish at best and
the temple was packed because it has only been opened for a couple of weeks.  The
10:00 a.m. session was full and there were two rows of people already waiting for the
next session.  Janna looked at me with concern and disappointment.  I suggested that
she mention her situation to the nice temple worker.  She about her flight that afternoon.
The worked said, “Wait on the back row for a minute.”  She came back and
said, “There are three seats left, so if there are only three of you follow me.”  All three
of us sat on the men's side, but we were so grateful to be there. Janna would have missed
so much of the temple if we hadn’t been on a session.  We felt some divine intervention
and that made our experience extra special.  You will love this temple!

The Hursts kept Janna's boys so we could all go together.
Sister Hurst had lunch waiting for us when we returned.

This is one of Elder Hurst's retirement projects.
I got pictures so Dad could put it on his list.

Luke's Levan Birthday Party (4-2-2016)

Luke was so impressed with Sarah-Jane's rainbow
elephant pinata' that he decided he needed a pinata', too.
His Mom designed, formed and filled it.  Aunt
Bethany put the paper mache on and painted it.  4-2-16
He chose Nick Wilder from Zootopia!

Nick seems cool hanging around the bats.

Luke and Sarah-Jane

Luke, Leia, Sarah-Jane and Ammon waiting for the party to begin.

The Creators with Nick!

                                  Katie, Nick and Bethany

Nick and Grandpa                The rope goes up....and almost in.
Nick is cool as a cucumber and as ready as he is going to get.

Nick Meets Leia

Nick meets Ammon.

Nick meets the birthday boy...Luke!

Nick meets Sarah-Jane!

NOW FOR THE BIG GUNS!  Nick meets Katie, his designer.

Nick seems to have lost his head after meeting Katie.

The treats are still inside, so Nick meets Bethany,
the one who gave him form and color!

Nick was falling apart, but would not give up the treats!

So.....the mighty Tyler takes the bat!

The treats are still inside Nick's body! So...Janna takes a few whacks!

The fun and games are over!  Grandma takes the BIG bat!

The treats are still safe although Nick is nearly shredded. Grandpa
is our only hope, as there was no one older at this party. :)

Katie finally just dumps the loot out.  It you need a
pinata made of iron...call Katie and Bethany!

The pinata had lots of play quarters so spend at the prize store on the back lawn.

Ammon collected Nick piece by piece as he fell apart!

In the face of danger and abuse, the expression on
Nick's face never changed! What a fox!

These are the cool prizes that could be purchased with the fake quarters.

The kids gather around Aunt Katie, the store owner, to buy their prizes.

Baby Gabe loved his prizes!

SJ picked two train whistles.

Then it was BIRTHDAY present time.  This party was for Luke and Gabriel.

This is Gabe and his loot!

Luke and his loot!

Can you see SJ and Wil's new Easter Bunny?
That evening was the Priesthood session of Conference.
Here is what we did while Grandpa and Tyler went to the Stake Center.
We all went for a walk! (Three adults and seven Preschoolers.)

Luke rode his little "bike".

Can you tell whose shadow is whose shadow?

Luke, Katie and stroller, Bethany and stroller,
Janna and bike trailer, Grandma and Wagon.

When we got home, we had a bubble party.

The finale was Luke's Paw Patrol Birthday Cake!

His cake was the most beautiful BLUE cake you have ever seen.

WELCOME TO SOME OTHER RANDOM SHOTS FROM THE WEEKEND.
Bethany is repainting the elves and gnomes in the front flower bed.  This is one
that I bought from Grandma Marvin when she was in the hospital. After she passed away,
I brought him home. Bethany painted him while listening to conference.

This is Dots the Bunny.

Our new baby chicks were fascinating.
