Our Trip to California: Old Town San Diego

Our first day, we also visited Old Town San Diego.

If you visit there you will meet these two old guys.

 The little shops, museums and  old craft demos 

were great, but the blossoms and lovely shirt 

sleeve weather is what I enjoyed the most.

 Ephraim was buddies with his favorite person....his Moma, or...

 Rode in complete style!

Rorie inspects the work of this old, and very skilled Blacksmith.

 One shop featured the best ever root beer floats.

 The natural Mediterranean trees were fascinating and I discovered 

we have another "climber" in the family who checked them all out.

The Old School House featured games the children of
that era would have played.  Noa is enjoying one.

Rorie challenged her Dad it a game of checkers.
Before long, Noa and Grandpa got involved, too.

We saw some beautiful Spanish Dancers and 

had lunch at a favorite Mexican Restaurant.

For dessert, we found the candy store!  This is a taffy puller.  

Grandpa and I remembered pulling taffy and honey candy by hand.

Then we went back to our little motel room.  
Meghan had a photo shoot so we hosted a party

It started with introducing Ephraim to his new pony.  This is Jake's old rocking 

horse that he got for Christmas when he was 18 months old.  Grandpa made 

some repairs, Aunt Bethany repainted it and we took it to California for delivery. 

EPHRAIM WAS A NATURAL FROM THE BEGINNING!

Rorie might be a little bit big.  She has long legs! It was
just right for Noa! Her eyes disappear when she smiles.

This was the next day at Jake and
Meghan's home just before we went to church.
