March 1st was the funeral for:
Marilyn Kawehiwehiokala Koslowski.
She was born Feb. 21, 1933 and died Feb. 24, 2019
Her mother was a half-sister to Thomas Kenison. Captain
David married a Samoan woman after his first wife died.
Maggie, Marilyn's mother, was born to them.
Her life was celebrated like a luau with music and dancing.
This was her posterity in attendance.
These are her children. They had not been together for many
years because of the rift between them.
Marilyn
had a troubled, difficult childhood and her family
was influenced by that, but
they truly love each other, have
learned to forgive, and all currently value
the gospel.
Mike, Glen, David, Richard, Noelani, Malia, and Yasmeen.
(Yasmeen was born before Marilyn was married, the
product of abuse. David was raised as her son, but
was Yasmeen's due to similar circumstances.)
What a beautiful way to celebrate her life! I'm glad you were able to join them.
