Katie and her kids came for a visit just two days after Angela and
Kaylee had to go home. That made their absence more bearable.
Darrel flew down and drove back with them
since Tyler could not get the time off.
The kids had given us a fun retreat the weekend she arrived.
It was kind of bad timing, but we all the made the best of it.
We enjoyed a luxurious stay at The Anniversary Inn in SLC.
We experienced the Hale Theater in Sandy for the first time.
It is an amazing state-of- the art facility that rivals Broadway.
The SLC Temple was closed, but we enjoyed the art exhibit at the museum.

I loved the imagery of reaching hands being the root of this family tree,
and the pioneer petticoat journal.
The Widow's mite spoke to me.
Randel and Bethany were engaged on July 13th while we were away.
They climbed to a ridge on Nebo and left a solar light to mark the spot.
On our way home from our retreat, we meet with some Kenison-side relations for dinner at Ruby River Steak House. We finished the evening helping our ward fill their Ute Stampede assignment.
We had an Ogden Day while Katie and Co. were here.
We visited Dinosaur Park.
Gabe fell and there was actual blood, so Katie had to document it
to see if Grandpa Wilkins would pay the usual $1 for such injuries. He said
Grandpa Kenison would have to provide the out of state blood money. :)
Ogden has cool horses along the streets during July.
We spent some time at a splash pad that day. I took Darrel to the airport that evening to fly out to Texas to help Jake with the major home improvement project he had going prior to selling it.
We had some back yard fun as well.
Cherokee's baby attracted frequent visitors.
Wilkins had never been to the Hari Krishna
Temple, so we planned a trip.
We had a picnic at Salem Pond afterwards.
Followed by a visit to see Grandpa Marvin.
FHE included a hike to the waterfall up Bear Canyon.
Sarah-Jane and Luke have a forever connection.

There was lots of water coming over the falls.
The Wilkins made a visit to see Uncle Kieth. Luke loved his German Shepherd.
We stayed for the home town celebration on July 24th.
We watched the parade from Suazo's.
We had fun at the park and then enjoyed a barbecue at home.
The fireworks were cancelled due to torrential rain that evening.
The Hale Theater's Production was Peter Pan Jr. was so fun.
We got a picture with Tiger Lily!
Grandpa took them down to Yuba for some fun.
Their time here went to fast, but we were so grateful that it happened.
Darrel drove back with them and then flew home the following Monday.
