We intended to go boating for an FHE activity, but Dad's old truck gave up the ghost
just before we left! Soo...we went the next evening and the lake was smooth as glass!
Bethany and BabyWil
Sarah-Jane
Grandpa opened it up and it can scoot across the water.
The wind took Wil's breath away and he hated the
life jacket so he was happier on the floor.
We saw a couple of flocks of pelicans.
Grandpa took us over passed the two new houses on Yuba's SW shore.
We headed for "painted rocks."
The hieroglyphics is what they are called "painted rocks."
This Canadian Goose drake was protecting a nest with his future family and his wife! :)
We stopped in the middle of the lake for a picnic,
so Wil didn't have to wear his life jacket.
SJ
Bethany
Grandpa had to fill his two life tanks just to see if they held water.
This is the end of our seven minute trip from the dam to Painted Rocks.
Baby Wil found the trip exhausting!
Grandpa ties it back on the trailer.
Then we took time to play along the beach.
You can't change film with a kid on your back, but
Bethany can still skip a rock with a kid in her arms. :)
How do you like SJ's pony tail.
Dad did some shoreline fishing and got a snag.
Yikes! This is cold!
Hike up the pants a little higher....because Dad has a snag.
Rescue Complete!
This is the catch--- and the cute little lure that Bethany saved!
We loaded up and headed home at sunset! Now we need a pull toy!
Bethany is pretty impressive! That looks like such a fun evening. I am so glad you are all having so much fun with Dad's boat. Does it have a name yet?
