5/29/2017: Today was Memorial Day. We didn’t visit any cemeteries, but we went to the Boeing Air Museum and got in on a wonderful
memorial service. It honored the
veterans of World War 1 and 2, especially those who gave their lives defending
freedom. The stories were touching and I
realized once again the every generation has people of great honor,
valor, and
courage. The museum is huge, but well
worth the time to visit. It featured all
things airborne from the Wright Brothers to a 747! I loved the tour through Air Force One, the retired plane that carried the President of the U.S. on many trips. That evening we went out to dinner to a Greek
restaurant. That was a treat. That evening we enjoyed FHE together. I love
the spirit of the Mitchell home. There
is so much that is good going on in that home.
As a grandparent that is a source of true joy!
